Okay so this is about films/cartoons that i enjoyed watching as a kid and i want to explain to you what i liked about them. First of all we are going to start of with :
- Lion King
- Titanic
- Aquamarine
- Sponge Bob Square pants
- Shrek
- Little Mermaid
- Alice in the Wonderland
- Teen Titans
- Out of the Box
- Xeena
These are just a few and i know what you're thinking, wow i had great taste in films/cartoons then right? But anyways here is . . . my first and most favorite film in the entire world..then!
The Lion King is a animated musical adventure film produced in 1994 by Walt Disney Feature Animation of course.
I started watching this probably around the age of six..? seven. I thought it was brand new then lol!
The scene i found very interesting was when Lion king's father was killed by his own uncle and that was shocking to me. How could they let him die? I remember sitting in my chair with my eyes full of hope that he would get up but unfortunately he didn't and I couldn't stop thinking about that the whole day.
What made this film a great film though was how adventorous it was. The settings was in a jungle and it had animals talking and making great jokes. Incredible! I watched it like 2-3 times and I don't mind watching it again!
Titanic is an American film made in 1997 but was set in the 1912.This is said to be directed, written, co-produced, and co-edited by James Cameron.
To be honest first time I watched this film was in the back of my dad's car parked accross the huge screen, in Madiville, Jamaica. My whole family was there and like all my sisters in the back i slept through most of it because it was long. I was very young then and did not understand it but i woke up for the most exciting scene where the Titanic was about to sink. From that I got back my interest and the next time i was able to watch the whole film again. I realised the film was about these two couple, Jack Dawson and Rose. And i found that they belong together and the fact that it end with him sacrificing his own life for her just touched me. I Thought this film was based on a true story, hey i thought movies were reality tv shows! But sadly the titanic crash was real. Great film still.
Aquamarine is a Australian-American film released in 2006 and was based on a teen fantasy starring Sara Paxton, Emma Roberts and Joanna ''Jojo'' Levesque. I loved the film! i loved the whole fantasy idea of the mermaid life. To me, as a very young girl growing up i was easily influenced and gullable as you might say, because I would think this was possible. That mermaids are real and its just that we haven't discovered them yet. I wasn't strong in that belief but i just thought it was possible. Anyways it was incredible to see how this 'mermaid' tried to fit in with the crowd of the two legged human family. Funny and amazing to watch. I recommend this to you guys who are especially a fan of fantasy.
SpongeBob Square pants is as everyone is familar with, an animated televison series that found its fame in 1999. Wow! i just learnt that this series was going to be named 'SpongeBoy'. That would be funny too i guess. Anyways! Talking about SpongeBob Square pants. As i said i have always watched this as a kid, everytime it comes on i wanted to watch it. I had to watch it on TVJ(Jamaican televison channel) It was one of the most funniest cartoons of all time. SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr.Crabs, and Squidward. I liked how SpongeBob was so free, and squidward would get mad all the time and easily annoyed by SpongeBob over friendlyness and optimism. Patrick was like the crazy one who is very blunt about things. Mr.Crabs and his laugh and his love for money. I don't think any episode that i've watched from this was ever boring. It was always entertaining.
Shrek is an American computer- animated fantasy comedy film released in 2001. Okay well done to those who have helped created this film because it was very entertaining! i watched all three parts and even though the first one was the best i loved all of it. Especially donkey. It had alot of emotions going on, including romance, sadness, sympathy, adventure, fantasy and comedy. Such a very live animation. Another thing that i appreciated from this film was that it was in 3D; the effects is incredible. The combination of talking animals and people was awsome. Never got you bored and on top of that a very happy ending.Yay!
The Little Mermaid is an American animated musical film that was released in 1989. It was produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation. What i loved about this film was that it included alot of fantasy. I noticed that fantasy was a huge interest when it comes to me watching cartoons back then. I love the storyline and the little crab. I just liked the settings of the Little Mermaid which is usually under the sea. The film gives you a insight of how it feels to live under the sea. They showed this through the characters and i really liked that. Also the swift moves and emotions of the characters was good.

I couldn't show you the picture as i couldn't find it. The latest
Alice in the Wonderland is showing up and I never watched those versions. As a kid, I only saw the Alice in the Wonderland movie. I liked this movie because it was about Alice, a young girl in the 1990's who got lost in her daydream, or dream and travelled this very interesting world with very interesting people or should I say characters. Umm the characters would be rabbits and chest cards queens and kings. The story also involved Alice having strange foods say ''eat me'' or ''drink me'' and whenever she follows that, she either shrinks or grow enormously. That's all I have remembred so far. A great movie and I believe I should definetly watch it again just to refreshen my memory. I remmebered when i was watching this, I had to go to school. I don't remember if Iwas on a evening shift but it seemed i was, so probably. And I wasn't able to watch it so I missed out most of the movie but it was really long, almost like the titanic.
Teen Titans is an American animated television series based on characters Raven, Starfire,Robin,Beast Boy, and Cyborg, a group of teen superheros.I loved watching these series. I wasn't a fan of super hero cartoon or super hero anything but these series were just cool. I can't explain why.
Out of the Box is a American Disney program for children mainly set in a playhouse in a supposeinly small card board box. The program was hosted by Tony James and Vivian McLaughlin Bayubay where they taught children how to be creative with spontaneous drama, creative artcrafts along with musicals. I found this program very exciting to watch because of all the playing and acting that was involved, aswell as the sining, story telling and creativity in art&design. It was amazing and i loved the theme song and would always sing it though I felt I was a little to old for watching it. Like 11 or something? But don't worry I grew out of it.
Xena warrior princess. I use to love this series so much. It would always come on TV late at 5pm either everyday or occassionally. Watching it and having dinner was just cool. It was there for me to watch as I would reach home coming from school before it even starts. This series is about Xena a warrior princess who go through battles and that sort of thing as any other super hero would. I was very interested in the Ercolese and Xena movie/cartoon but unfortunately i've lost the name of the movie/cartoon. I can't even make up my mind if it was a movie or cartoon as i've watched so many versions of Xena.
As i've said there is alot more than this that i've watched. Alot more like Power puff girls, Going bananas, this next film that was similar to Alice in the Wonderland, Peter pan, Pumpkin Bruster, The Smurfs, Home alone 1,2,3 etc (:
